Last week we looked at what actions you might take if a creditor sues you. Today we'll take a quick look at treating that lawsuit as a wake-up call.
If a creditor is suing you, it's likely that are also other creditors that are getting ready to sue you. If you've been avoiding your financial problems up to this time, take the lawsuit as a reason to look at your financial situation clearly and take action to fix it.
How best to do that? The best way is to consult with an experienced bankruptcy attorney in your area. That way you'll find out if bankruptcy is a good option for you, a way to get rid of your debts and to get the Fresh Start that the bankruptcy laws provide. If that is not a good option for you, you'll find out why and what you might be able to do about it. In any event, you'll be taking action to improve your financial situation.
